Timeline Guide · 45 Days

From first call to Vanuatu passport in approximately 45 days.

A realistic, week-by-week breakdown of the fastest formal Citizenship by Investment program in the world.

Quick Answer

How long does Vanuatu citizenship by investment take?

Approximately 45 days from a complete file. Most applicants reach passport-in-hand within 6–8 weeks from engagement once document collection is included. Vanuatu is the fastest formal CBI program in the world; no other jurisdiction issues citizenship and a biometric passport this quickly through a Government Designated Agent.

Naturalisation Certificate signed by the Chairman of the Citizenship Commission. Biometric passport printed by the Department of Immigration and Passport Services and couriered to your nominated address.

What can slow the timeline down

  • Slow police clearances from a country of past residence (the most common delay)
  • Source-of-funds documentation that needs to be reconstructed
  • Holdings of, or past holdings of, a sensitive nationality requiring enhanced due diligence
  • Public holidays in Vanuatu (the Citizenship Commission does not sit during major closures)

Do I need to travel to Vanuatu?

No. Every step — including the oath of allegiance — can be completed remotely through a Notary Public or Vanuatu consular officer. We have facilitated 300+ applications from clients who have never set foot in Vanuatu.
